Recently, a young woman contacted us after taking the first dose of the abortion pill and immediately regretting her decision. She felt alone and unsure whether anything could be done.
We quickly connected her with a physician who prescribed progesterone, and a few days later, she came in for an ultrasound.
There was still a heartbeat.
Today, she is awaiting the arrival of her baby.
More than 60% of abortions now occur through abortion pills taken at home. That means many women are making these decisions in isolation — and sometimes experiencing deep regret.
In November, Missouri voters will see Amendment 3 on the ballot, which seeks to reverse portions of the earlier constitutional amendment. Regardless of the outcome, women will continue to need medical care, truthful information, and compassionate support.
